Expressing Brand Values Through Design – Alibaba Taichung Office
As a leading global platform offering internet-based services in trade, e-commerce, and search, Alibaba International Station required more than just a functional office.
The design needed to embody the brand’s core values: innovation, collaboration, and a global vision.
Brand Wall: Translating Vision into Visual Identity
Upon entering the Alibaba International Station office, visitors are greeted by a feature wall that captures the company’s spirit in one bold glance.
1. Shipping Container-Inspired Design
To reflect Alibaba’s global logistics across land, sea, and air, the brand wall adopts a container motif combined with acrylic elements.
Rather than using an actual container (which would be too heavy), we recreated its industrial character using lightweight carpentry — preserving every detail from door handles to fastening structures to deliver an authentic, tech-industrial aesthetic.
2. Brand Messaging in Visual Form
The wall also integrates Alibaba’s Taiwan slogan — “Striving for the rise of Taiwan’s foreign trade” — bringing the company’s vision and mission into immediate view.
It sets the tone for the entire space, making the brand message a key part of the spatial experience.
3. Light and Material Details
Backlit frosted acrylic adds layers of light and texture, evoking a modern and tech-forward ambiance in alignment with Alibaba’s identity as a digital platform.
A Flexible Office Space for a Global Business
Given Alibaba’s multifaceted operations, the office was designed to accommodate various work modes and collaboration needs.
1. Diverse Working Areas
Beyond standard workstations, we incorporated several open discussion zones to encourage spontaneous collaboration between teams and with guests — improving spatial flow and work efficiency.
2. Scalable Meeting Rooms
To support meetings of all sizes, we designed a range of rooms — from small breakout areas to strategy rooms that accommodate over 50 people — ensuring adaptability for different functions.
3. Privacy Within Openness
To meet specific operational needs, the office includes several acoustic phone booths.
While some are prefabricated, others were custom-designed to match the office’s visual language and fit within the client’s budget.
These booths are both functional and aesthetically integrated into the environment.
Embedding Brand Culture in Every Detail
From the start, we aimed to embed Alibaba’s values throughout the space — not only in layout but also in the smallest design moments.
1. Honor Wall – Celebrating Achievements
When the client requested a way to highlight team success, we created a custom-built metal sculpture wall inspired by assembly models — symbolizing that every outstanding employee is a part of Alibaba’s success.
Prominently placed along a main corridor, it reflects the brand’s people-first philosophy:
“Employees first, customers second, shareholders third.”
2. Company Timeline Wall
Alibaba’s key milestones and growth story are integrated into a timeline wall, combining metal grilles and signage to add visual rhythm and extend the perception of space, while deepening emotional connection to the brand journey.
Designing with Depth for Business Impact
Designing corporate offices requires a multidimensional approach — balancing aesthetics, function, brand values, as well as practical considerations like budget, timeline, and internal workflows.

打造品牌辨識度|貨櫃意象形象牆
一走進台中阿里巴巴辦公室,首先映入眼簾的是極具震撼力的【企業形象牆】。設計以「堆滿滿的貨櫃」為視覺主軸,使用鐵灰白色貨櫃板材建構整面牆體,並將標誌性的「Alibaba.com」LOGO 嵌入其中。這不僅象徵著平台幫台灣把貨「都出出去」的使命,更直觀地呈現出企業與跨境電商密不可分的物流基因。
貨櫃堆疊中的細節處處可見匠心:三角形箭頭代表出口方向、紙船意象呼應「航行」與「貿易」,透過多層次結構與燈光的襯托,營造出強烈的視覺焦點,也巧妙傳遞品牌定位與核心價值。這樣的【品牌形象設計】不只是裝飾,更是企業理念的延伸與實體化。

阿里巴巴沿革牆|格柵LOGO × 里程碑敘事
另一個極具看頭的區域,是設置於多功能教室一側的【企業沿革牆】。設計師以豎向格柵為載體,巧妙運用橘白相間的條紋形成「Alibaba」字樣,從正面看是一致的標誌,從斜側觀看則因視角改變產生不同的視覺效果,成功結合「動態視覺」與「資訊展示」。
每一個年度的里程碑,以立體紅橘柱體標示,從 2020 到 2024 年,清楚列出品牌在台灣的重要發展與策略佈局。不僅增添整體牆面的層次,也讓來訪者清楚理解品牌的成長軌跡,是極具教育與紀念價值的【企業歷史展示設計】。
這樣的【企業沿革牆設計】不只為空間賦予溫度與故事性,也讓品牌與空間使用者產生更深層的連結。尤其在科技產業講求效率與速度的同時,更顯得珍貴。
河流般的曲面天花|象徵通路與錢流
不只牆面,連天花板也藏有意象巧思。辦公室中央教學空間的天花板設計為流線型曲面,造型靈感源自「河流」,象徵著資源流動、金錢流通與通路建構。這也暗示著阿里巴巴作為跨境電商平台,已為企業搭建好所有「賺錢的水道」。
間接光源隨著曲線設計延伸,營造柔和但具現代感的照明氛圍。整體設計不僅視覺流暢,也象徵企業流程通暢順利,是典型的【辦公室天花設計】成功案例,兼顧機能與隱喻。
多功能辦公空間|兼容教育、展示與交流
阿里巴巴台中辦公室並非單一使用目的空間,規劃上兼顧【教育訓練空間設計】與【會議交流空間設計】。教學桌椅採可靈活移動設計,搭配大型投影設備,空間可依活動形式快速調整,滿足內訓、說明會、招商簡報等多元需求。
整體空間設計遵循極簡現代風格,主色調以中性灰白搭配品牌橘色,並透過多種材質轉換(格柵、霧面塑材、LED燈箱)豐富層次。地坪選用具吸音效果的建材,提升使用舒適度與音響品質,是兼顧美感與實用性的【現代辦公室設計】佳作。
用空間說品牌故事,是未來企業辦公的關鍵趨勢
本案最成功的地方,在於讓整體【品牌空間設計】不流於表面,而是每一處細節都講述著阿里巴巴的價值觀與使命:幫助台灣中小企業拓展海外,協助品牌走向世界,打通商流與物流的每一條水道。
