BAIKAL LAKE TAVERN Residential Design
A Home Inspired by the Stillness of Siberia
Residential Project|Taichung|Woosha Design
The homeowners — a doctor and a pharmacist couple —
once journeyed past Lake Baikal, where they were captivated by the deep, silent blues of Siberia.
The frozen lake stretched endlessly before them.
They stood in awe, tears slipping quietly down their cheeks.
There was no movement on the surface — only a stirring within.
To this day, the emotional ripple of that moment remains.
Now, they’ve asked Woosha Design to transform that memory —
that breathtaking, heart-skipping stillness —
into the spatial language of their first-ever home.
A place where beauty, memory, and emotion live side by side.
Whenever they long to revisit
the frost-covered mists and pristine blue ice
of the 395-mile Lake Baikal…
They simply open the door to their wine cellar-clinic room.
Wander down the smoked oak hallway.
And select a bottle that pairs perfectly with today’s mood.
Uncorking a memory, gently.
Letting its aroma unfold.
Savoring its sweetness as it glides across the tongue.
A taste of a journey once lived —
now quietly echoing through the walls of home.
