FIRNS, a name inspired by the quiet resilience of ferns, reflects the owner's vision:
a refined French restaurant that embodies natural strength, elegance, and timeless atmosphere.
The space is grounded in deep wooden textures that flow throughout the interiors.
From the waist-height wall panels to the soft curved corners, the design language mimics the organic motion of ferns swaying gently in the breeze —
offering warmth, depth, and a touch of poetic grace.
Walls are treated with artisanal finishes, bringing texture and soul to every surface.
These handcrafted patterns echo the lines of wood grain, creating a harmonious fusion between nature and artistry.
Lighting plays a crucial role in this space:
warm indirect lighting glows softly from above the wood paneling,
casting subtle highlights reminiscent of sunlight filtering through leaves.
This approach not only enriches the overall ambiance, but also gently guides the eye through the interior.
One of the highlights is a wood veneer lighting installation by local Taiwanese artists Dark Incredible 黑色特攻隊.
The handcrafted fixture becomes a sculptural element that adds an artistic and cultural layer to the space —
a testament to the owner’s refined taste and appreciation for detail.
From spatial planning to material selection, every detail reflects a commitment to aesthetic harmony and sensory richness.
At FIRNS, guests don’t just enjoy French cuisine —
they're immersed in an atmosphere where art, light, and nature blend seamlessly,
transforming a meal into a memorable, multi-sensory experience.
