HDC HOUSING 

This project is a multi-story private residence located in Taiping District, Taichung. The homeowner, known for a vibrant social circle, envisioned the first floor as a welcoming space for entertaining guests. To enhance this hosting function, we utilized bold dark tones and stone-textured materials to establish a distinctive ambiance. The foyer, living area, dining space, and bar counter are arranged in an open-plan layout, creating a sense of spaciousness and visual depth.

On the second floor, the original partitions by the developer were completely removed to create a more expansive and comfortable master suite. A highlight of this level is the inclusion of an open-concept soaking tub area, providing the owners with a daily escape that feels like a vacation at home.

The top floor houses a walk-in wardrobe, a shrine room, and an outdoor terrace. The open closet design avoids visual bulk, maintaining a sense of openness. For the shrine room, we departed from traditional aesthetics, opting instead for imported grooved tiles as the backdrop to cultivate a serene and reverent atmosphere. The outdoor terrace features pebble stone and cement-finished platforms, forming a simple yet elegant space for the owners and their friends to unwind and enjoy the summer evening breeze.
