HONG TENG OFFICE    Taichung

A Modern Office Design that Balances Strength and Softness

Stone × Metal × Wood – The Aesthetic Language of Materials

This office is more than just a workplace — it’s a reflection of personal taste and lifestyle.
The client is an avid collector of figurines and artwork, with a keen eye for design details.
To echo the client’s refined aesthetic, we chose stone and metal as the primary materials, achieving balance between strength and softness, coolness and warmth.

While stone is naturally solid and heavy, improper use can make it feel cold or overpowering.
We introduced metal elements to neutralize this effect, bringing in a subtle luxury, a touch of tech sensibility, and youthful energy.
This thoughtful material pairing enhances the space and creates a visual dialogue between the design and the client’s collection.

Reception Wall – Subtle Presence with Impact

At the corporate entrance, we used large-format tiles for the feature wall.
The natural texture of the stone and controlled lighting establish a modern yet grounded first impression.
To enrich the spatial experience, we applied decorative finishes on both wall and ceiling surfaces, combining texture and light to create a calm, layered, and professional tone that conveys the company’s stable image.

Workspace – A Dialogue Between Design and Collection

Extending the style of the reception area, stone patterns run throughout the office.
Layered metal finishes introduce a dynamic rhythm, blending logic with emotion.
To showcase the client’s collections, we custom-designed display platforms and storage cabinetry.
Each collectible is highlighted through lighting design, turning display into storytelling, and imbuing the space with personality and vitality.

Executive Office – Serenity with Substance

The chairman’s office centers on the theme of composure.
Warm wood tones form the base of the space, while vertical wood grilles on ceilings and walls add subtle visual texture.
A Japanese handcrafted tile wall anchors the space with a minimal yet rich expression, creating a quiet and composed atmosphere.

Behind the desk, a translucent marble feature wall becomes the visual highlight.
The selected stone has a delicate structure, requiring custom support structures and lighting techniques.
After multiple rounds of testing and refinement, we achieved a warm, glowing effect that brings depth and elegance — a true centerpiece of the space.

The Design Language of Balance

This office is not just for work — it’s a stage for corporate culture and personal style.
From the bold reception wall and open-plan office to the layered executive suite, every detail reveals a deep sensitivity to material and space.

Between the solidity of stone, the precision of metal, the warmth of wood, and the softness of light,
we found a language of balance — creating an office that resonates with the rhythm of modern work and life.
