The Douliu Police Station Public Works Competition Design

Breaking away from the preconceived impression of the traditional police station, this design reinterprets it using modern techniques. The design concept 'Bunker' symbolizes a defensive fortress architecture. Starting from the original intent of bunker design, early fortresses were essential defense structures for a country or region, which resonates with the police station as an important defense and order authority in the area.
The building’s exterior uses red clay bricks paired with gray-black paint to create a solid, substantial feeling. The irregular window openings on the protruding roof resemble observation windows, forming an interesting facade design.
