Lifestyle Design Proposal|From the Ground Up, Creating a Warm Space that Responds to Everyday Life
This is a Taichung interior design project planned from the raw concrete stage. From spatial layout and circulation to material selection, lighting, and equipment integration, the entire home was designed and customized from scratch. After thorough discussions with the homeowners, we crafted a floor plan tailored to their lifestyle and preferences, ensuring every corner of the home “perfectly responds to daily living.”
The client favored a Nordic style, preferring natural, pure, and warm design elements. To achieve this, the overall space was built on a white foundation, paired with wood textures, accented by metal details and artistic finishes. The result is an interior that feels light yet not plain, tranquil yet layered with richness.
Living Room Design|A Dual Performance of AV Integration and Material Details
As the heart of the home, the living room emphasizes both comfort in proportion and the integration of the client’s cherished AV equipment. Being an audio-visual enthusiast, the homeowner required dedicated arrangements for speakers, projection, and wiring. The design ensures a clean visual appearance while maintaining ease of use and system completeness.
A structural beam in the original ceiling was softened with a curved ceiling design, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the overall composition rather than becoming an oppressive presence.
The display cabinet employs titanium-coated metal, which offers more refined texture and delicate reflections than standard metal finishes. The backdrop wall was finished with handcrafted artistic paint by “Wall Ideas,” delivering tactile richness and subtle light-play that adds a warm artistic atmosphere.
For flooring, large-format tiles with varied textures and subdued tones were used, creating a simple yet layered living environment.
Corridor Design|Beyond a Passageway, an Extension of Living
The corridor, a long and linear path, was designed not merely as a transitional space but as an extension of the home’s rhythm. Wood and metal details were introduced, and white artistic paint was applied to the walls, adding layers of subtle expression to a simple foundation.
Through indirect lighting from above and below, the corridor is softly wrapped in light, infusing movement into the journey. An art display niche midway becomes a visual focal point, breaking the elongated proportion while naturally weaving aesthetics into daily life.
Bedroom Design|Consistency with Character, Details that Reflect Personal Style
Each bedroom features a different tonal variation of wood as its main theme, paired with iron details and artistic paint finishes. While each space carries its own rhythm and expression, they resonate with one another, creating continuity across the home without monotony.
For wall finishes, we selected the Rainbow Paint “Kang Jiely” series of latex paints. Known for their natural color, stain resistance, low odor, and durability, they are ideal for long-term daily use, achieving a balance between aesthetic quality and functionality.
Conclusion|Design is More Than Style, It is a Choice of Living
Looking back, from raw concrete to final completion, this project was a process of ongoing dialogue and gradual realization with the homeowner. We firmly believe that design is not about showcasing a specific style, but about creating a space that can be lived in, embraced, and absorbed by daily life.
Every corner, every play of light, every material choice was made in response to the habits and feelings of its residents—that, ultimately, is the true value of design.
