YADINGNI Yizhong Store | Taichung Restaurant Design

This project marks the fifth collaboration between Woosha Design and YADINGNI.
The green entrance frame on the façade continues the brand’s signature identity established across previous locations. The interior design language also follows the brand’s existing character, while subtle adjustments were made according to the site conditions and the commercial atmosphere of the Yizhong district.

The biggest challenge of this project was how to ensure the brand’s atmosphere remained clear and recognizable within a highly competitive, visually crowded, high-traffic urban environment.

Façade Design｜Extending Brand Identity Within the Yizhong District

The vibrant green storefront paired with black signage has become a recognizable visual identity of YADINGNI, allowing returning customers to immediately identify the brand.

At the entrance, greenery and a vertical digital display add a sense of liveliness and everyday warmth to the façade. The glass entrance allows interior lighting to naturally spill outward, enabling passersby to intuitively sense the atmosphere inside without needing to deliberately look in.

Counter Area｜Decorative Molding and Brand Messaging

The main counter wall is composed of white decorative molding panels, featuring dimensional metallic lettering reading “Attenersi A Delizioso,” an Italian phrase meaning “Commitment to Deliciousness.”

Positioned directly within the entrance sightline, it clearly communicates the restaurant’s identity and long-standing brand philosophy. The shadows and textures created by the molding panels add visual depth to the counter area, maintaining a light and refreshing atmosphere while subtly contrasting with the warmer tones of the seating area behind it.

Seating Area｜Arched Walls Defining the Spatial Atmosphere

The seating area centers around curved arch walls as its primary visual feature. Finished with a caramel-brown textured coating and complemented by integrated linear lighting along the base, the design remains minimal yet highly atmospheric.

The overall feeling is calm, warm, and inviting — a space designed for people to comfortably sit down and enjoy a meal.

Brass pendant lights, wooden tabletops, and honey-toned wooden chairs create a cohesive warm brown palette that feels understated yet timeless. Booth seating areas are wrapped in gray-brown upholstered finishes to enhance comfort and privacy. Different seating arrangements were intentionally planned to accommodate a variety of dining experiences and customer needs.

Ceiling Design｜Integrating Exposed Utilities and Layered Lighting

The ceiling preserves the exposed piping structure, neatly finished in white paint. A combination of recessed lighting and track lighting was carefully arranged to maintain a sense of openness despite limited ceiling height.

This is a common real-world condition frequently encountered in Taichung commercial space design. The approach itself is not complicated — the key lies in how thoughtfully the lighting layers are handled.

The Spatial Evolution of a Chain Brand

From Fengjia to Yizhong, across five store projects, we continuously explored how to shape each location while remaining within the same brand language.

Consistent design elements establish strong brand recognition, while localized adjustments respond to the surrounding environment and unique spatial conditions. This balance between consistency and individuality is one of the core considerations in chain restaurant interior design.
